I have restored the functionality by switching over to EDSM.
I can’t get this site to work anymore. The queries keep failing. Is it being maintained? It really has been a great resource in the past. Thanks.

Does the line under “Search” say anything helpful?
Some days it works, other days it doesn’t. Hard to know. Below is what is returned when I search.

I tried with numerous system names, to make sure it wasn’t just isolated to the system I’m currently in.
Understood, yeah it looks like the data are partially corrupted – some systems work and some don’t. I have reproduced the issue and will look into it.
It’s them space bugs, HR 1737 is now Thargoid-controlled and reports (human) population of 0. This site pulls data from EDSM nightly dumps https://www.edsm.net/en/nightly-dumps, in particular the “Populated systems” dump. Well, HR 1737 is now technically not populated and it is indeed missing in the dump.
I have reported the issue to EDSM, but it is technically a correct behavior, so temper your expectations. https://github.com/EDSM-NET/FrontEnd/issues/515
If EDSM nightly dumps start including Thargoids controlled systems, I might have to update my side to process the new data correctly. In that case, let me know here 🙂
Ok, so for now just make sure I’m not trying to search from a Thargoid controlled system and it should be fine, right?

o7! Here’s one more data point for the data running script.
It pointed me to Yen Chelici – HR 8666 with 2 systems in mission range, but on both stations I went (Wallace Hub and Holland Orbital, to see if size is a factor) there were many more (the farthest one being Iveri, 188.27ly away) with none of them being HR 8666.

188Ly? Are you sure it wasn’t a cargo delivery mission? Sadly, the data running search is quite experimental because I couldn’t figure out what motivates the game to generate the missions. Inexplicably, it seems to work better for Empire. I have checked Yen Chelici now and indeed, found no data missionas. All factions are devoid of states, so maybe that is a clue.
I have also checked Ngalinn (empire), to make sure it still works and I got a good, albeit not lucrative, set for Mainani there. I see a pattern here:
Bust -> Courier Job Available
Boom -> Strategic Data Transfer
Civil Unrest -> Sensitive Data Delivery
and I’m pretty sure there is something for Election.
But even though one faction in Civil Unrest generates several Sensitive Data Deliveries, there’s a second faction in the same state that generates none 🙁
Also, EDSM dumps now seem to contain factions that have been pushed out of the system, I’ll have to add logic to filter those 🙁

Downloading failed. Cannot look for what I need based on Reference system

I have checked the server logs and found nothing unusual around the time of your post. I have tried searching materials around a random reference system and it works, but if you have trouble with a specific search please share your parameters. Though it sounds like an issue with DB download.
I guess I could update the page to display a more descriptive error when the download fails. There is some additional information that gets printed to the developer console in the browser but that’s a bit technical for a random user to extract for me…

I’m so sorry guys, the site also stopped sending me emails AND I this caught me right when I moved from Windows to Linux so I’m speed-running through 20 years of user experience and software “build up”.
Regarding the breakage, I believe the colonization efforts of CMDRs have expanded the populated galaxy to the point that EDSM dumps are too big to download and process in the current naive manner. I’m working on a less naive solution – split the download and processing into two separate cron jobs. The new solution should also keep serving the available, if outdated, data rather than die outright.

A new version has been deployed, it should fix the issues.
A CRON job now checks for new EDSM dump every 5 minutes and it is allowed to run for much longer. The old data are kept around for a while, so even if the CRON job is crunching the new stuff, the page will serve the old data instantly. Users should never again wait tens of seconds for the data (unless that’s due to their actual download bandwidth) since EDSM file dump check and processing is no longer done when you visit this page.
Please let me know if any issues remain.
I don’t think your information for “Settlement War / Civil War” information is updating for at least five days. Systems like; Luyten’s Star, Zorya and LP 128-9 have not had any factions at war or civil war since May 16, 2026 or earlier.

Indeed, nothing is updating as the status line reports – “Downloading a dump from EDSM…done. DB last updated: 228 hours and 22 minutes ago”
It’s an upstream issue – EDSM is not updating its dumps ( https://www.edsm.net/en/nightly-dumps ).
I have checked the EDSM Discord and the issue has been reported yesterday by another user and acknowledged by Anthor, the EDSM dev. I guess we have to wait.
I should mention for my above post that I am searching for medium military settlements. Also LHS 28 has two factions at war with six medium military settlements and this system does not show up in a search.
I don’t see a status line, out of curiosity, where is the status line that you referred to in your May 21st post?
I meant the line under the search button. When the page loads it displays the download status, until there is something else to display, like a query result status.
